Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian authorities have shifted the All Parties Hurriyat Conference General Secretary, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, to New Delhi after arresting him from Srinagar. He was under continued house detention for the past several years.

Indian police had arrested Shabbir Ahmad Shah after raiding his Sanat Nagar residence in Srinagar, late last night, and lodged him at Humhama police station. The police airlifted the APHC leader to New Delhi, today.

On Monday, the Indian National Investigation Agency had arrested Hurriyat leaders, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Merajuddin Kalwal, Peer Saifullah, Ayaz Muhammad Akbar, Shahid-ul-Islam and Nayeem Ahmed Khan from Srinagar and Farooq Ahmed Dar from New Delhi. The NIA officials produced them at Patiala House court in New Delhi on Tuesday that granted 10 days remand of the leaders to NIA. »

Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian military court has suspended the life sentences of five army men involved in the killing of three innocent Kashmiri youth in a fake encounter in Machil area of Kupwara district in April 2010.

The armed forces tribunal also granted bail to the killer troops who were dismissed from service and given jail terms earlier by a general court martial for killing the Kashmiri youth. »

New Delhi, July 26 (KMS): India’s Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS) Lt. Gen. Sarath Chand, has admitted that Pakistan has a better military industrial base and exports more defence equipment than India.

Lt. Gen. Sarath Chand speaking at the inaugural session of AMICON 2017 came down heavily on ordnance factories which manufacture weapons for the Indian forces. »

Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has described the arrest of Hurriyat leaders by Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) as a pre-planned psychological crackdown aimed at forcing the Hurriyat leadership to surrender.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said that NIA was being used as a war weapon against pro-freedom leadership and India’s stooges in the occupied territory were facilitating the arbitrary measures. »

New Delhi, July 26 (KMS): The Concerned Citizens Group-led by former Indian Minister, Yashwant Sinha, has said that dialogue is the only way forward in Kashmir and issues like Kashmir cannot be resolved by arrests and harsh methods.

The group, which will be undertaking yet another visit of Srinagar early next month, to push for dialogue and update itself with the prevailing situation in the occupied territory, however admits that its efforts have borne little fruit as the Indian government is yet to respond to their recommendations. »

Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addressing a condolence meeting at Dadsara in Tral said that Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, should muster courage and fulfill the promises the first Indian premier, Jawaharlal Nehru, had made with the people of Kashmir. »

Srinagar, July 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have booked 29-year-old Atif Hassan, a resident of Islamabad district, under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), and shifted to Kathua jail in Jammu.

Atif Hassan was arrested by Indian police two weeks back when he was coming out of Islamabad Court complex after a hearing into a false case registered against him. »
