Srinagar, July 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the illegally detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has paid rich tributes to martyr Muhammad Maqbool Malik of Islamabad town on his martyrdom day, today.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar, recalling the sacrifices and struggle of the martyred for the freedom movement said that Maqbool Malik was a thorough gentleman, a religious individual and a resistance lover who strived for the freedom of Kashmir and even sacrificed his life for the purpose. »

Demos, strike in Bhaderwah against police atrocities

Srinagar, July 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that Indian secret agencies under a well-thought-out plan are devising policies to malign the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement and link it with global terrorism.

The leaders in a joint statement issued in Srinagar said that these agencies with the active support of those elements not affiliated with the freedom struggle had chalked out a programme to carry out their sinister designs of linking the movement with global organizations like ISIS and Al-Qaeda to mislead the international community. They said that the Kashmiris’ freedom movement was indigenous and had nothing to do with such organizations. The leaders said that the peace-loving nations of the world had also acknowledged the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir and the Kashmiri people were continuing a peaceful struggle for its settlement. »

Srinagar, July 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities disallowed the Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, from addressing a press conference at his Nigeen residence in Srinagar on Saturday.

The forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the authorities deployed heavy contingent of Indian police and troops outside the residence of the Mirwaiz to prevent him from addressing the presser.

“No journalist was allowed as such to cover the event as all routes leading to residence of Mirwaiz were completely sealed by barbed wires,” he added.

Jammu, July 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people staged a forceful demonstration and observed complete shutdown in Bhadarwah town of Doda district in Jammu region against the ruthless beating of a local Muslim youth by Indian police.

Locals said that the security guards of Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Bhadarwah, Brijesh Kumar, thrashed a local youth, Mohsin Ganai, without any reason. They said that the youth was beaten up in full public glare, creating panic in the area. »

New Delhi, July 29 (KMS): Member of the so-called Kashmir Assembly, Engineer Abdur Rasheed, has said that only solution to the Kashmir dispute is granting of right to self-determination to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Srinagar, July 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has denounced puppet authorities for imposing curfew in Srinagar, barring prayers in historic Srinagar Jamia Masjid for the sixth consecutive Friday and keeping the Mirwaiz under house detention for the past more than one and a half month.

The Hurriyat forum in a statement issued in Srinagar also condemned the slapping of draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), on a political activist, Atif Hassan, for his affiliation with the ongoing freedom movement and the shameless beating up of the mother and three sisters of a mujahid, Tauseef Ahmed, by Indian forces at Rampora in Kulgam. »
