Srinagar, July 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities prevented the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani from addressing a press conference in Srinagar, today.

Syed Ali Gilani who is under continued house arrest at his Hyderpora residence in Srinagar was scheduled to address a press conference at 5:00pm today, but the authorities foiled his media briefing by deploying heavy contingents of Indian police and troops outside his residence. »

Thousands attend funeral in Pulwama

Srinagar, July 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district, today.

The youth were martyred by the troops during a cordon and search operation in the area. The martyrs were identified as Shaikh Shariq Ahmad and Showkat Ahmad Mir. At least three rounds of funeral prayers were held for Shariq Ahmad as thousands of people thronged his ancestral Takuna village in Pulwama, today. He was buried amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. »

Demos, strike in Bhaderwah against police atrocities

Srinagar, July 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that Indian secret agencies under a well-thought-out plan are devising policies to malign the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement and link it with global terrorism.

The leaders in a joint statement issued in Srinagar said that these agencies with the active support of those elements not affiliated with the freedom struggle had chalked out a programme to carry out their sinister designs of linking the movement with global organizations like ISIS and Al-Qaeda to mislead the international community. They said that the Kashmiris’ freedom movement was indigenous and had nothing to do with such organizations. The leaders said that the peace-loving nations of the world had also acknowledged the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir and the Kashmiri people were continuing a peaceful struggle for its settlement. »
