Islamabad, August 31 (KMS): The Foreign Office Spokesman, Nafees Zakaria has said that oppressed people in occupied Kashmir continue to be brutalized by Indian forces.

Nafees Zakaria in his weekly briefing in Islamabad on Thursday said the Indian forces in their effort to suppress the Kashmiris’ indigenous legitimate movement for right to self-determination had martyred four more Kashmiris in Hajin, Bandipore and Pulwama areas. »

Aasiya, Fehmeeda again booked under draconian law

Srinagar, August 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people including students held forceful anti-India demonstrations in Handwara, Pampore, Shopian, Kulgam, Hajin and Bandipore areas, today. Indian troops used brute force to disperse the protesters injuring many of them.

The students of Government Degree College, Handwara, staged forceful protests against the custodial killing of their fellow student, Shahid Bashir Mir, by Indian troops a few days ago. The bullet-riddled body of Shahid Bashir was found in a forest on August 21 and Indian troops had claimed that they had killed a militant. Eyewitnesses said that Indian forces’ personnel entered the college premises, today, and beat up several students and teachers after subjecting them to teargas shelling. They said that many girl students who fainted after inhaling teargas were taken to the sub-district hospital Handwara for treatment. »
