Srinagar, August 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, two youth were martyred and three Indian army personnel including a Major were killed in two separate incidents in Kulgam and Shopian districts, today.

The two youth Aaqib Ahmad Ittoo and Suhail Ahmad Rathar were shot dead by Indian troops during a siege and search operation in Gopalpora village of Kulgam, early in the morning.

Over thirty thousand people participated in the funeral prayers of the two martyrs at their ancestral villages. They were buried amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. Mujahideen appeared in the funeral of Suhail Ahmad and offered him a gun salute in Tantraypora village of the district. The authorities suspended mobile and Internet services in south Kashmir immediately after the killings. »

Islamabad, August 02 (KMS): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman, Nafees Zakaria has expressed concern over the increase in human rights violations by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

In his weekly media briefing at the Foreign Office on Thursday, he said the human rights situation in Indian occupied Kashmir has been worsening by every passing day due to ever increasing atrocities by the Indian forces with impunity. »

Washington, D.C. August 03 (KMS):  Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Secretary General of World Kashmir Awareness Forum, has said Kashmir represents a government’s repression not of a secessionist or separatist movement but of an uprising against foreign occupation, an occupation that was expected to end under determinations made by the United Nations.

While addressing an event in Washington, Dr Fai said, “The situation has been met with studied unconcern by the United Nations that has given a sense of total impunity to India. »

Srinagar, August 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani and Hurriyat forum Chief, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq have expressed grief over the killing of one more youth, Aqeel Ahmad, saying that trigger-happy troops are resorting to unjustified force against peaceful civilians.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the killing highly condemnable. He extended his condolences to the bereaved family. »

Thousands attend funeral of Aqib Ittoo in Kulgam

The troops killed the youth, Aqib Ahmad Itoo and Suhail Ahmed, during a cordon and search operation at Gopalpora in Damhal Hanjipora area of the district. »

Srinagar August 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) has that said Indian armed forces cannot fight mujahideen directly but are using drones to drop bombs on their houses to eliminate them.

The DeM General Secretary, Nahida Nasreen in a statement in Srinagar said the coward army pumps bullets on innocent civilians but is afraid of fight in a mujahideen face-to-face battle. She appealed to the UN, OIC, and human rights organisations to help resolve the Kashmir dispute. »

Srinagar, August 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the detainees at Kathua Jail in Jammu are stripped naked and subjected to extreme brutality by the jail staff even in presence of their family members and visitors.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed deep concern over the plight of prisoners lodged in different jails, saying that the situation in Kathua Jail is particularly extremely horrible. »
