Srinagar, August 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troop, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Islamabad district.
The troops killed the youth during a violent crackdown operation at Kanelwan in Bijbehara area of the district. One of the martyred youth was identified as Yawar Nisar.
Thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of the martyred Yawar Nisar at Hanfia Eidgah in Janglat Mandi area of the district. He was laid to rest at his ancestral place in Achabal Adda in Islamabad town amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogan. Delegations of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party and Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement also attended the funeral prayers.
Intense clashes broke out between people and Indian forces at many places in the district soon after the funeral prayers of Yawar Nisar. Indian forces’ personnel used brute force to disperse the protesters.
A spontaneous shutdown was observed in Islamabad town and its peripheries to mourn the killing of the youth.
On the other hand, the puppet authorities suspended train service from Srinagar-Islamabad-Qazigund to Banihal.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat leaders, Yasmeen Raja, Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi and Ghulam Nabi War in their joint statement paid glowing tribute to Shaheed Yawer Nissar. They appealed to the international community and the world human rights organizations to put pressure on India to stop human rights violations in the territory.
The Jamaat-e-Islami spokesman, Zahid Ali, in his statement in Srinagar denouncing the killing deplored that so far thousands of civilians had been killed by Indian forces in the occupied territory.
