Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people, today, participated in the multiple funeral prayers of four youth, martyred by Indian troops during a siege and search operation in Tral area of Pulwama district, yesterday.

The funerals of martyred youth Zahid Ahmad Butt, Ishaq Ahmed, Muhammad Ashraf Dar and a teenage boy Muhammad Younus Sheikh were offered in Nawdal, Batgund, Trich and Saimoh areas of Tral town. The martyrs were laid to rest amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. Complete strike was observed in Puwlama district against the killings. Mobile and internet services remained suspended in the district on the 2nd day, today. »

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that summoning Hurriyat leaders to New Delhi shows frustration of Indian authorities.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the NIA (National Investigation Agency) and ED (Enforcement Directorate) drama was being played by New Delhi to divert attention from the ongoing genocide in the occupied territory. He termed the questioning of Dr Bilquees, wife of Shabbir Ahmad Shah, by ED and summoning of Naseem Gilani and Nayeem Gilani, sons of Syed Ali Gilani, by the NIA as revengeful politics. »

New Delhi, August 10 (KMS): A New Delhi court has sent the illegally detained APHC General Secretary and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabbir Ahmed Shah to Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail on 14-day judicial remand.

Shabbir Ahmed Shah was arrested last month by India’s Enforcement Directorate in false case registered against him a decade ago. He was produced before Additional Sessions Judge, Sidharth Sharma, who sent him to Tihar Jail on judicial remand. »

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Awami Ittehad Party Chairman and the member of so-called Kashmir Assembly, Engineer Rasheed has expressed his readiness to join All Parties Hurriyat Conference.

According to Kashmir Media Service, while addressing a press conference in Srinagar, today, Er Rasheed said that he had taken the decision to this effect in response to a call made by Syed Ali Gilani to the pro-India parties to join the Hurriyat. »

It was on 11th August, 2008, that Sheikh Abdul Aziz was shot dead by Indian troops while he was leading a procession from Srinagar to the Line of Control against the economic blockade of the Valley by Hindu extremists of Jammu. »

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the firing by Indian forces upon peaceful protesters in Gulab Bagh area of Tral in which a 16-year-old student, Mohammad Younus Sheikh, was killed and several others critically injured, yesterday.

The forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar paid rich tributes to the martyred youth He said the use of military might is the only way the authorities choose to deal with the sentiment and political aspirations of people of Kashmir. »

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that India is hell bent to tamper with the Muslim majority character of Jammu and Kashmir.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar cautioned the Kashmiri people against the nefarious designs of Delhi and its henchmen in the occupied territory. He said that the Kashmiris would not allow anyone to alter or interfere with the integrity and special status of Jammu and Kashmir and would safeguard it at all costs. »

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has expressed concern over the use of judicial system by the RSS-BJP combine for abrogation of Article 35A of the Indian constitution.

The HCBA in a statement issued in Srinagar maintained that fiddling with Article 35A would be disastrous and would have serious ramifications in the territory. It called for united defence against any such move. »

Srinagar, August 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, leaders of the pro-India opposition parties have said that the removal of 35A of the Indian Constitution would have serious consequences.

The opposition leaders who met the puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti at her Gupkar residence in Srinagar expressed concern over the attempts being made to repeal 35A, and asked her to defend it strongly. »
