Jammu, September 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, anti-India protests rocked Kishtwar area of Jammu region despite elaborated measures in the name of security and closure of all entry and exit points in the town with barbed wires.

The youth while raising pro-freedom, pro-Burhan Wani and anti-India slogans marched towards the shrine of Baghdadi in the town. However, timely intervention by the elders saved the situation from going uncontrolled. Police have filed cases against the youth and started raids on their houses.

Jamia Masjid Kishtwar’s imam, Farooq Ahmed Kichloo, while addressing Eid gathering in Kishtwar said that Indian police were harassing and arresting innocent youth in fake cases. He demanded unconditional withdrawal of cases against the youth in the town. He also demanded immediate release of social activist Babar Nehru of Doda and others lodged in various jails of the territory.

Meanwhile, a local leader in Kishtwar, Molvi Abdul Qayoom Mattoo, while addressing Eid rally called upon the people to stand against Indian occupation. He also asked the people to resist any move for abrogation of Article 35-A of Indian constitution.
