Srinagar, September 2 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred one youth on Eid-ul-Azha, today, in Kulgam district.

The youth identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Paddar, was killed by the Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army and Special Operations Group during a crackdown operation at Tantray Pora in the district.
Dozens of people were injured after Indian police used brute force and fired pellets on pro-freedom protesters in Srinagar, Islamabad, Bijbehara, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Sopore, Bandipore and other areas. The troops also fired pellets and bullets on Eid congregations in Srinagar, Islamabad and Sopore. The protesters shouted high-pitched slogans, We Want Freedom, Go India Go back, and hoisted Pakistani flags at different places.
In Kishtwar town of Jammu region, over forty thousand people in a pro-freedom rally after Eid prayers raised pro-Pakistan slogans and saluted Pakistani flag.
Joint resistance leaders, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik in their joint statement while condemning the use of brute force by Indian troops against peaceful demonstrators on Eid day urged the world community to take notice of the worst situation of occupied Kashmir.
Elsewhere, the Kashmiris in their Eid gatherings prayed for the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir from Indian subjugation. Hurriyet leaders including Agha Syed Hassan Almoosvi, Maulana Abbas Ansari and Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while addressing Eid-ul-Azha congregations in Srinagar, Budgam, Pattan and Islamabad expressed serious concern over the gross human rights violations by Indian troops.
The 88-year-old All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Massarat Aalam Butt, Sayeda Asiya Andarbi, Fehmeeda Sofi and Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai spent their Eid during house arrests or in jails.
Meanwhile, a police officer was killed and seven police personnel were injured in an attack in Pantha Chowk area on the outskirts of Srinagar, last night.
