Lawyers protest against summons to Mian Qayoom

Srinagar, September 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Sopore town of Baramulla district, today.

The youth were killed by troops during a siege and search operation in Shanker Gund Brath locality of the town. The troops also blew up one house in the area. The martyred youth have been identified as Nayeem Ahmad and Ashiq Hussain. The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar paid rich tributes to the martyred youth and said that these brave hearts were laying their precious lives for Kashmiris’ better tomorrow. »

Srinagar, September 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian Army along with paramilitary forces has launched a major operation in Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama districts in South Kashmir. Army officials in Srinagar told media that the operation was launched on the assumption that some militants might be hiding in some sensitive places.

They said there are more than 300 big and small army camps in South and North Kashmir apart from Central Reserve Police Force and police establishments. »

Srinagar, September 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Awami Ittehad Party chief and member of so-called Kashmir Assembly, Engineer Abdur Rasheed was prevented from visiting the family of Manzoor Ahmad Khan, who was subjected to enforced disappearance in army custody a few days back.

AIP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said a heavy contingent of Indian police detained Engineer Rasheed at Wawoora near Devar Lolab, and took him into custody and later sent him back to Handwara. »
