Srinagar, September 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has said that Kashmiri Pandits are part and parcel of Kashmiri society and no one in Kashmir opposes their return.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with a high-level delegation visited the family of Neelam Pandita of Batnag Tral who died due to cardiac arrest some days ago.
Expressing heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family he said that he had came here to share their grief. He said, “Kashmiri Pandits have equal rights as Kashmiri Muslims and we all welcome them back. They should return and live at the places of their choice with the rest of society.”
He said it is not the Hurriyat leaders or the people of Kashmir that are politicizing this issue but it is the Indian rulers and their puppet regime in the territory who are politicizing it and complicating their return.
Talking about the Kashmir dispute, he said that it was the main cause of tension between the two countries and until and unless it is not resolved, peace in South Asia will remain a dream.
Fayaz Ahmad, Shijatul Islam, Shabbir Ahmad Nanwai and Nisar Ahmad rather were part of the delegation.
