Srinagar, September 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza reacting to the recent visit of Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh to Kashmir has said that the Kashmir dispute cannot be resolved through such visits.

Mukhtar Ahmad Waza in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that on one hand Rajnath was making offer for talks, while Hurriyat leadership continued to remain under detention, on the other.

He added that such delegations came to Kashmir earlier, but they yielded nothing. He said Kashmir issue cannot be solved by sending delegations to Kashmir, but it can be solved when New Delhi is ready to hold talks with all stakeholders including the true representative of Kashmiri people.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League in its statement while referring to Rajnath Singh’s offer for talks said that nobody in Kashmir was against talks but they could only be fruitful when permanent settlement of the Kashmir dispute was given a preference in these talks.
