Srinagar, September 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that the sacrifice of Imam-e-Hussain (RA) and his family at Karbala is a glorious page of Islamic history that will always remain a source of inspiration for all those who stand against tyranny and oppression.

Muhammad Yasin Malik while addressing thousands of mourners at Hasanabad Rainawari in Srinagar, today, said Karbala teaches us to remain steadfast against tyranny, oppression and falsehood and the resistance of the people of Jammu Kashmir is also a continuation of Karbala.

The JKLF Chairman said that martyrdom of Imam-e-Hussein and his companions at Karbala marked a distinction between truth and falsehood and ‘this day teaches a lesson that in the lasting battle between truth and false, oppressor and the oppressed, the last triumph always belongs to the oppressed and truth.’ He said that in Karbala, beloved of last messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him), Imam- e- Hussain (RA) and his companions, despite persecution, hunger, thirst and cruelty, resisted the forces of tyranny and oppression and refused to bow before them. This is the main lesson of Karbala that despite all hardships true follower of Imam-e-Hussain (RA) should never bow before tyrants and should never ever side with those who are oppressors or support subjugation, asserted Yasin Malik.

Malik said the resistance in Jammu and Kashmir, Palestine, Myanmar and many other places of world are also continuation of Karbala as oppressed people of these regions are resisting the forces of evil, tyranny and oppression from a long time.

Yasin Malik said last 70 years of illegal occupation turned Jammu and Kashmir into a hell. More than one lakh humans have been killed by Indian forces, lakhs have been injured, property worth hundreds of crores has been destroyed, thousands have been killed in custody and thousands are absconding and thousands of unmarked graves and other signs of inhumanity are glaring examples of this aggression.

Blinding humans by pellet guns, killing, mutilating and even taking selfie’s with bodies also shows the inhuman attitude of Indian occupation and all this actually relates our struggle with Karbala, Yasin Malik said.

Meanwhile, the authorities did not allow the JKLF Chairman , Muhammad Yasin Malik, to attend a seminar scheduled at Hyderpora residence of Syed Ali Gilani, in Srinagar, today. He was forced to return from Hyderpora without entering Gilani’s residence.
