Youth killed in overnight operation

Srinagar, September 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed, today, in protest against Indian Home Minister, Rajnath Singh’s visit to the territory.

Call for the shutdown was given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. All shops and business establishments were closed, while traffic was off the road in Srinagar, Islamabad, Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwamam, Baramulla, Badgam and other parts of the territory. Rajnath Singh had arrived in Srinagar on Saturday on a four-day visit to the territory. »

Srinagar, September 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said that the restrictions on political activities in the territory and disallowing resistance leaders to court arrest at National Investigation Agency headquarters in New Delhi signify a moral victory for resistance leadership.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar appealed to the United Nations and international human rights organizations to take cognizance of unabated human rightist violations in Jammu and Kashmir. »

Srinagar, September 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops during their 18-hour long military operation martyred two youth in Shopian district.

The two youth identified as Tariq Ahmad Butt and Altaf Ahmad, were martyred during a siege and search operation in Barabugh area of the district. The troops killed Tariq Ahmad Butt, last night, while Altaf Ahmad early this morning. »

Girl injured in firing by troops in Shopian

Srinagar, September 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of a mujahid commander, Shahid Ahmad Sheikh in Rafiabad area of Baramulla district.

People from different areas including Rafiabad, Qaziabad and Zainageer marched towards the Kachloo area of Rafiabad where Sheikh was laid to rest amid pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans. Shahid Ahmad Sheikh was martyred by Indian troops during a siege and search operation in Reban area of Sopore, yesterday. A house belonging to one Fahmeeda Begum was blown up by the troops during the operation. »

Srinagar, September 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an elderly man was crushed to death after being hit by a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) vehicle in Khayam area in Srinagar, last night.

Sanaullah Mir, 50, was walking in Khayam area when a CRPF vehicle hit him injuring him critically. He was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. »

Indian troops martyr one youth in Sopore

Srinagar, September 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities detained senior resistance leaders, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to prevent the march of the joint resistance leadership to the headquarters of India’s National Investigation Agency in Delhi, today.

The joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had announced to court arrest at the NIA headquarters in protest against its cruel policies regarding the people of Kashmir. Indian police arrested Muhammad Yasin Malik around midnight, yesterday, from his residence and lodged him at Central Jail in Srinagar while Syed Ali Gilani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq were already under house detention. The puppet authorities imposed restrictions in Srinagar to stop people from holding anti-India demonstrations over the arrest of Hurriyat leaders and the terror unleashed by the NIA against the Kashmiris. »

Srinagar, September 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred another youth in Shopian district on Saturday evening.

The youth was martyred during a siege and search operation in Barabugh area of the district. A police official claimed that the martyred youth was a militant and was killed during an encounter. The military operation was going on in the area when the last reports came in. A youth was also martyred at Reban in Sopore, today. »
