Srinagar, October 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has denounced raid on the residence of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir chief spokesman, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar and the arrest of Hurriyat leaders, Hakeem Abdul Rasheed and Muhammad Ashraf Laya.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar was a political activist and raid by police on his residence in the darkness was not unjustified and a condemnable act.

He deplored that the authorities were following the policy of suppression and oppression but it would not weaken the freedom sentiment of the people of Kashmir. He said that the Kashmiris’ struggle for securing their right to self-determination would continue till it reached its logical conclusion.

The APHC Chairman also condemned the incidents of hair-chopping of women and termed it a conspiracy masterminded by the Indian agencies to create sense of insecurity and fear-psychosis among the masses particularly womenfolk.
