Srinagar, October 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has condemned the sealing of Srinagar Jamia Masjid, today, by the authorities, disallowing the people to offer Juma prayers inside the historic mosque.

The forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar also denounced the house detention of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and denying him to lead congregational prayers in the mosque which was direct interference in his religious affairs.

The spokesman flayed the authorities for imposing restrictions in several areas of Srinagar to prevent protests against unabated braid-chopping incidents in the territory and termed it their frustration.

He also condemned the continued house arrest of APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, and arrest of the JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, and demanded their immediate release along with other Hurriyat leaders and activists.

Meanwhile, as per the programmed announced by the Joint Resistance Leadership, the forum leaders including Mushtaq Ahmed Sofi, Farooq Ahmed Sodagar, Muhammad Yousuf Butt, Farooq Ahmed Siddique Hazar and Sahil Ahmed War along with a large number of people staged a demonstrations at Aanchar in Soura area of Srinagar, today, against the increasing incidents of braid-chopping across the territory.
