Srinagar, October 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has expressed concern over human rights violations by Indian troops in the territory and said that unabated killings and brutalities are the worst form of state terrorism.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that it was unwise and undemocratic to equate the movements for right to self-determination with terrorism and stressed the civilized world to resent every form of terrorism.

He expressed concern over loss of precious lives in Islamabad, Tral and Bijbehara during past few days, saying that killing on political differences was sheer violation of human and moral values and added that it should never happen.

Reiterating call for the march towards TRC on October 14, the APHC Chairman appealed the people to make the event a big success to demonstrate their political power and send a message to global assemblies while raising high-pitched slogans in favour of right to self-determination, for which they had offered immense sacrifices.

Syed Ali Gilani, while lashing at Tihar jail authorities for their inhuman behavior the illegally detained Kashmiris including Hurriyat leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Peer Saifullah, Raja Merajuddin Kalwal, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Mohammad Aslam Wani, Shahid-ul-Islam, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Zahoor Ahmed, Javed Ahmed, Nazir Ahmed and journalist Kamran Yousuf. He said that Indian authorities would be responsible if anything untoward happened to the detainees.

He in his appeal to the UN General Secretary and international human rights organizations urged to take cognizance of plight of the Kashmiri detainees. He added that denying basic facilities like medical treatment was the worst violation of the basic rights specified for the prisoners.
