Srinagar, October 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police and paramilitary personnel used brute force to disperse protesters in Hajin area of Bandipora district, today.

People took to the streets after Indian police and troops launched a cordon and search operation in the area. The forces’ personnel fired pellets and teargas shells to break up the demonstrations. Two persons were hit by the pellets during the forces’ action. Stiff resistance from the people forced the troops and police personnel to call off the operation.

Meanwhile, Indian Army personnel also used brute force and resorted to aerial firing in Tral area of Pulwama district, today, to disperse the demonstrators who were protesting against a cordon and search operation. Indian Army is also using choppers in the operation.
