Srinagar, October 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has asked the puppet rulers to immediately stop attacks on Kashmiri women.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a message from Srinagar Central Jail said, “If these ugly attacks are not halted immediately, these will have serious consequences and responsibility of anything untoward will lie on the shoulders of the rulers. “The speed with which these braid-cutting incidents are happening and the utter shameful attitude of rulers and their failure to identify or arrest culprits involved in attacks on women, is proving that something is fishy,” he said.

On the other hand, the JKLF took out a protest rally from party office at Aabi Guzar in Srinagar against the increasing braid-chopping incidents in the territory. The rally was led by JKLF leader, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, while others who participated in it included Zahoor Ahmad Butt, Muhammad Yasin Butt, Muhammad Sadeeq Shah, Professor Javaid and Ghulam Muhammad Dar.

The JKLF spokesman in a statement said that Indian police had laid barricades on roads leading towards Lal Chowk because of which the protest rally was turned into a protest sit-in. he said that holding placards in their hands and raising slogans against attacks on women, the protesters strongly condemned the incidents of braid-chopping.
