Braid chopping part of devilish tactics

Srinagar, October 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Pulwama and Shopian districts of south Kashmir, today, against the killing of three youth by Indian troops, yesterday.

All shops and business establishments were closed while traffic was off the roads in the two districts. Educational institutions were already closed due to the weekly off.

Among three martyrs, the troops had killed Waseem Shah and Nasir Ahmad during a cordon and search operation at Litter in Pulwama district. They had also destroyed a house in the operation. The killing of the youth had sparked anti-India protests in the area. The third one, indentified as, Gulzar Ahmad Mir was killed and many others were injured when troops had opened fire on the protesters in the area. »

Srinagar, October 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has urged people to constitute Mohalla committees comprising youth volunteers and persons with credibility to check the braid-chipping menace.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the ugly incidents had created extreme gloomy situation for Kashmiri women and girls. For the last one month, fear psychosis has been created and people are facing threat to their dignity and honor, he added. »

Srinagar, October 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior National Conference leader, Akbar Lone has termed the frequent closure of schools very unfortunate, adding that “government has failed in every aspect.”

Akbar Lone said that they have no right to sit in power if they cannot provide safety to the people who have chosen them. “The frequent call for the closure of schools and colleges are very alarming and poses great threat to the future of this territory”, he said. »

Srinagar, October 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a policeman was arrested on the complaint of a woman who said that the cop was taking her pictures in Ganderbal district.

The woman caught the policeman at Manigam bypass in the district and tied him by a rope with a chair for clicking her pictures while she was standing there. »

Srinagar, October 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a class 10 student, Maysar, is the latest victim of pellets, whose both eyes have been badly damaged by the lethal metallic balls fired by Indian troops from shotguns at Nowgam in Srinagar.

According to Kashmir Media Service, wails and sobs filled the Ward No. 8 of the SMHS Hospital as Maysar, a resident of Lasjan, struggled to recognise family members, friends and relatives. »

Srinagar, October 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a policeman was killed and two others including an assistant sub-inspector were injured in an attack on their vehicles in Kulgam district.

The attack took place at Nandmarg near Damhal Hanjipora crossing when the police party travelling in two vehicles was returning from Daniv Kandimarg village. »

Srinagar, October 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, massive clashes broke out in different areas of Baramulla and Srinagar against more incidents of braid chopping in the two districts.

The incident sparked protest at Boniyar in Baramulla which turned violent after locals said that police reached late which led to the escape of the suspected braid cutter. Protesters blocked Baramulla-Uri highway. Police lobbed teargas shells to quell the demonstrators who retaliated with stones. Several protesters were injured in police action. »
