Srinagar, October 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Kashmir Tehereek-e-Khawateen (KTK) and Jammu and Kashmir Cultural Sufi Society have condemned the unabated incidents of braid chopping.

The KTK Chairperson Zamaruda Habib in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed concern over growing continued incidents of forced braid chopping in Kashmir.

She also paid tributes to martyrs of Shopian and Hajan and reiterated that sacrifices would not go waste and liberation struggle would continue till taking it to its logical conclusion.

Meanwhile, a meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Cultural Sufi Society held at its head office, Jamallatta, Nawakadal, and urged the authorities to trace and arrest the culprits responsible for the braid cutting.

They said the braid chopping has created a fear-psychosis among the people, particularly the womenfolk in Kashmir. The meeting which was chaired by its president Mir Mushtaq, appealed to the people to act diligently in the hour of crisis.
