Srinagar, October 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, protests were held amid shutdown in Srinagar and Pulwama areas on Thursday against fresh incidents of brad-chopping and highhandedness of Indian forces.

The residents of Hazratbal took to streets against braid chopping of a woman in Dhobi Mohalla area of the city and staged massive protests. Two incidents of braid-cutting have taken place in the area in the past one week.

All shops and other commercial establishments were closed, while traffic was off the road in the area.

Meanwhile, clashes were reported from Tral area of Pulwama district against the ransacking of houses by forces in the town. Youth took to streets and clashed with the forces in Main Town area of Tral.

The town witnessed complete shutdown against the ransacking of three houses of Kashmiri youth by Indian troops.
