Srinagar, October 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has strongly condemned the arrest of résistance leaders and activists, saying these arbitrary arrests cannot break Kashmiris’ resolve for ongoing movement.

APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “We are pursuing our mission since decades and no arbitrary or coercive measures can prevent us from following the mission.” »

Denmark, October 21 (KMS): A Kashmir conference titled “Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and human rights violations in Kashmir” was organised by Tehreek-e-Kashmir Denmark at Parliament of Denmark.

President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan was the chief guest of the conference while Convener of All Parties Kashmir Liaison Council and MLA, Abdur Rasheed Turabi, President Tehreek-e-Kashmir Europe, Muhammad Ghalib, President of Kashmir Movement UK, Raja Faheem Kyani, members of Danish Parliament, APHC-AJK Convener, Ghulam Muhammad Safi and other Kashmiri leaders from across the Europe participated in the conference. »

Srinagar, October 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has paid glorious tributes to martyrs of Bijbehara, Fateh Kadal and Allochi Bagh on their 25th martyrdom anniversary.

The DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said the sacrifices of martyrs are continuation of the freedom mission of the Kashmiri people. He said that before carrying out this bloodshed, the occupational forces had laid siege of the Dargah Hazratbal and tried to violate its sanctity. »

Restrictions continue in Srinagar to prevent demos

Srinagar, October 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed, today, to register protest against the unabated incidents of braid-chopping masterminded by Indian secret agencies to create a sense of insecurity and fear-psychosis among the masses particularly womenfolk.

Call for the shutdown was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. The leaders had also appealed to the people to observe civil curfew, today. All shops, business establishments and educational institutions remained closed while traffic was off the road. The Kashmir University, Srinagar, had postponed all the exams scheduled for today. »

Srinagar, October 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, sixty eight structures were gutted in a massive blaze in Gurez area of Bandipora district, today.

An official told media that the fire engulfed Kilshey area of Gurez today morning.

“Sixty eight structures were gutted in a fire that erupted from a residential house in the Kilshay locality. The fire spread and engulfed over sixty structures,” he said. The official said that the cause of the fire is being ascertained.

There was no immediate report of any loss to life. »

Srinagar, October 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, residents of Hajin area of Bandipora district have said that Indian troops beat them up and ransacked their houses after demonstrations against braid chopping.

The residents of Mir Mohalla, Syed Mohallah and Khos Mohalla told media that the troops and police personnel barged into their houses after the demonstrations on Friday and ransacked the household goods and damaged the property. »

Srinagar, October 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, braid of a 35-year-old woman was chopped off in Nowpora area of Bandipora district, today.

Locals told media that some unknown person attacked the woman near main gate of her house, made her unconscious by spraying some chemicals and chopped her hair.

“She was going to unlock the main gate of the house around 6:30 am when she was attacked by an unknown person. After chopping her hair, the person fled. He also stole her golden earring,” they said. »

A large number of people belonging to different walks of life including Hurriyat leaders and activists attended the funeral prayers of the deceased. She was laid to rest at her ancestral graveyard in Qamarwari area of Srinagar. »
