Srinagar, October 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has strongly condemned the arrest of résistance leaders and activists, saying these arbitrary arrests cannot break Kashmiris’ resolve for ongoing movement.

APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “We are pursuing our mission since decades and no arbitrary or coercive measures can prevent us from following the mission.”

Denouncing continued house arrest of Syed Ali Gilani, he said that from last seven years he is in forced house detention, while Mohamad Ashraf Sehrai and Mohammad Ashraf Laya were also detained by authorities since long.

He said that Huriyat leader, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar was arrested and lodged in police station, adding that similarly other leaders including Mohammad Yasin Ataie, Syed Imtiaz Haider and Bashir Budgami were also arrested and lodged in police station, Budgam.

The spokesman, while condemning the fresh arrest spree, said that the arrest and other cheap tactics could not suppress the ongoing liberation movement and would be taken to its logical conclusion.
