Srinagar, October 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has paid glorious tributes to martyrs of Bijbehara, Fateh Kadal and Allochi Bagh on their 25th martyrdom anniversary.

The DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said the sacrifices of martyrs are continuation of the freedom mission of the Kashmiri people. He said that before carrying out this bloodshed, the occupational forces had laid siege of the Dargah Hazratbal and tried to violate its sanctity. He said that the Indian forces by entering the Dargah hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims and the move evoked strong Valley-wide protests. In response, the forces’ personnel martyred more than 60 people across Valley and injured hundreds by opening fire on the protesters.

The DFP while making a special mention of Bijbehara martyrs said that even though people were protesting in a peaceful manner but the occupational forces under a well-thought-out plan resorted to indiscriminate firing without any provocation and martyred more than 50 people and injured over 100.

Meanwhile, the spokesman termed the people’s strong protests against braid-chopping as eye-opener for India and said that the Kashmiris gave a clear message to culprits that any kind of attack on the chastity and honour of women would not be tolerated.
