Srinagar, October 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) has urged the United Nations and world human rights organisations to send fact-finding teams to Kashmir to expose Indian brutalities.

The DeM General Secretary, Nahida Nasreen in a statement issued in Srinagar said Kashmiris are being subjected to the worst kind of human rights violations as India is using all means to muzzle the voices of the people.

She also appealed to Pakistan, being member of the UN Human Rights Council, to intensify its efforts to expose the Indian atrocities on Kashmir at the world forums.

Nasreen said that India had been committing grave crimes in Kashmir for the past 70 years. “To continue its illegal occupation, India has murdered lakhs of Kashmiris, filled its jails with Kashmiri people, tortured and injured lakhs of others,” she added.

She said that the whole Kashmir had been turned in a prison as lakhs of Indian occupying forces were present. “Ninety percent people among the intellectual class, which is against the illegal Indian occupation and is associated with the resistance movement, has been jailed. Women too have not been spared as leaders including Aasiya Andrabi and Fehmeeda Sofi are being illegally kept under detention after being slapped with draconian law, PSA,” she added.

She also condemned the use of force and injuring of a youth in Kralpora area in the CRPF firing.
