Srinagar, October 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) has once again summoned the Jammu leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference to New Delhi for questioning.

Advocate Devender Singh, President of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Party, a constituent of APHC, was arrested by NIA sleuths from his Jammu residence in August in a fake case.

“I was questioned for a continuous 46 days at NIA’s Delhi headquarters till October 9,” Behl said in a media interview over phone from Jammu. “Now the probe agency has once again summoned me for questioning,” he added.

Behl said that he was earlier questioned for his association with Hurriyat Conference. “I told the NIA investigators that I am a political activist and that is my only association with the pro-freedom group,” he said.

After raiding more than 70 places, mostly in Srinagar, NIA sleuths arrested seven Hurriyat Conference leaders, a top businessman, a photo-journalist and a farmer. All of them are in judicial custody in Delhi’s Tihar jail.
