Srinagar, October 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of its Chief Organizer, Abdul Ahad Parra, lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.

The JKML spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Abdul Ahad Parra had been suffering from different ailments but despite it the puppet authorities were prolonging his illegal detention on one pretext or the other. He said that Abdul Ahad Parra was not being provided medical facilities, which was the worst human rights violation and political victimization.

The spokesman appealed to the world community and international human rights organizations to take notice of the plight of illegally detained Hurriyat leader and play role in his immediate and unconditional release besides other Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and the occupied territory.

Meanwhile, police produced the illegally detained JKML Chairman, Masarrat Aalam Butt, before a Srinagar Court, today, in connection with a false case registered against him in 2010.

Masarrat Aalam Butt, who is lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu, was presented before the Court of the Third Sessions Judge. The court fixed November 7 as the next date of hearing of the case.

Masarrat Aalam is under illegal detention since October 2010 after he spearheaded the mass uprising that year.
