Srinagar, October 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar, has called for tripartite talks among Pakistan, India and the genuine Kashmiri leadership to settle the Kashmir dispute.

Zafar Akbar Butt addressing public gatherings in Buchroo and Kralpora areas of Badgam said that all the stakeholders that both India and Pakistan needed to take bold steps for resolution of the lingering dispute.

Commenting over the huge presence of Indian troops in occupied Kashmir, he said that Indian authorities should call the forces’ personnel to barrack and revoke black laws like Armed Forces Special Powers Act in the occupied territory.

Demanding immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmiri youth, he said that the move would definitely convey a message that the Indian authorities were sincere and it would also create a congenial atmosphere for the talks process. “Coercive measures and negotiations can’t go together,” he added.
