Srinagar, October 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressing serious concern over the plight of Kashmiri political prisoners lodged in various jails in and outside the territory.

The forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said resistance leaders including Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Altaf Ahmad Shah and businessman Zahoor Ahmed Watali languishing in Delhi’s Tihar Jail and those lodged in Central Jail Srinagar were facing problems due to the callous attitude of the jail authorities. He said that the detainees were not being provided with basic facilities in jails.

Condemning the arrest of Syed Salahuddin’s son Shahid Yousuf, the spokesman termed the move as sheer political vendetta.
