Srinagar, October 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Srinagar has directed Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) to furnish details of cases registered against Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi by November 30.

The application was moved by advocate Mir Uzfi before the CJM. The counsel stated before the court that from last six months Aasiya Andrabi had been put behind bars without any justifiable cause, so it is imperative to report on number of cases registered against her.”

Advocate Uzfi also submitted that Aasiya Andrabi was facing constant threat and also her health condition was not good. He prayed that it was necessary that the authorities should come up with number of cases registered against her and come up with the status of investigation. The CJM, Aijaz Khan, after hearing the counsel, directed the SSP Srinagar to file the report on number of cases and the investigation done in the cases against the DeM Chairperson by November 30.

Aasiya Andrabi is presently lodged at Srinagar Central Jail with her aide Fahmeeda Sofi after trial court at Srinagar had directed police to shift them from Amphalla jail, Jammu, to Srinagar. The order was passed on October 4.

The High Court had also quashed their PSAs on August 31.
