Srinagar, October 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court, today, quashed the detention n order under black law Public Safety Act (PSA) issued against illegally detained senior APHC leader and Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League Chairman, Masarrat Aalam Butt, however, he was not released.

It was 35th PSA against Masarrat Aalam that has been quashed by the high court. He is lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu. »

Edinburgh, October 27 (KMS): Observing the ‘Black Day’ Kashmiris living in Scotland staged a rally near the Scottish Parliament, today, condemning Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.

London, October 27 (KMS): Speakers at the seminar organised in London by Diplomatic Bureau of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front UK-chapter have urged the world community to paly an effective role in the settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute.

Islamabad, October 27 (KMS): Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders held demonstrations in Islamabad, Muzaffarabad and Lahore to mark October 27 as Black Day, today.

On this day in 1947 Indian troops invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it against the will of the Kashmiri people.

All Parties Hurriyet Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a protest demonstration outside the office of Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad, today, in connection with black day. The APHC leaders addressing the protest demonstration said that the killing of innocent people by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir was the worst type of state terrorism. They said that the people of Kashmir had been struggling for securing their right to self-determination for the past seven decades and had rendered unprecedented sacrifices for this purpose. The advisors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh chief ministers were also present on the occasion. »

Restrictions in Srinagar, juma prayers barred at Jamia

Srinagar, October 27 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over observed Black Day, today, to convey the message to the world that they reject India’s illegal occupation of their motherland and will continue their struggle till complete freedom from Indian yoke.

It was on the 27th October in 1947 when Indian troops invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it in total violation of the Partition Plan of the Subcontinent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations. »

Kashmir Conference held in British Parliament

London, October 27 (KMS): The British Parliament will conduct a Parliamentary Enquiry on human rights violations in occupied Kashmir from 14th December, 2017.

This was announcement by Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Kashmir in the UK Parliament, Chris Leslie (MP), during a Kashmir Conference held in the Parliament. The conference organized by Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International (JKSDMI) in collaboration with the Pakistani High Commission in London was chaired by Barrister Imran Hussain (MP) and Vice Chairman of APPG on Kashmir. It was attended by more than 20 parliamentarians of both the Houses and all parties. Executive Director of Kashmir Media Service, Sheikh Tajammul-ul-Islam, and Pakistani Deputy High Commissioner, Zahid Hafeez, participated in the conference as special guests. »

Authorities detain Mirwaiz, Hakeem Rasheed, Mukhtar Waza

Srinagar, October 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities disallowed congregational Juma prayers, today, at historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar for the fifth consecutive week.

The authorities had imposed restrictions in Safakadal, Maharaj Gunj, Khanyar, Nowhatta, Raniwari, Maisuma, Khralkhud and other areas of Srinagar to prevent people from staging anti-India demonstrations on the Black Day, today. India had invaded Jammu and Kashmir on this day in 1947 and occupied it in total violation of the Partition Plan of the Subcontinent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations. »

Urges world to play role in resolution of Kashmir dispute

Srinagar, October 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL), comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, has termed 27th October, 1947, as the blackest day in the history of Kashmir as it was on this very day when India sent its armed forces to Kashmir without the consent of people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The JRL said this in a resolution read out and passed by the people, today, in various mosques, shrines and Imambargahs across occupied Kashmir including Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri, Poonch and Bhaderwah areas of Jammu region after Friday prayers on the occasion of Black Day, the October 27 – the day when Indian army illegally occupied the Jammu and Kashmir in 1947. »

Srinagar, October 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, terming October 27, 1947 as Black Day in Kashmir has said the shutdown is the way to express resentment against Indian occupation.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India had invaded Jammu and Kashmir on this day in 1947, adding that the Kashmiris would continue their freedom struggle till it reached its logical conclusion. »

Srinagar, October 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed, today, to protest against India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.

India had landed its troops in Srinagar on 27th October in 1947 and illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in total violation of the Partition Plan of the Subcontinent and against the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
