Srinagar, October 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the illegally detained Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi was today shifted to Soura Institute of Medical Sciences for treatment.

For the last couple of days Aasiya Andrabi complained of severe allergy due to which her whole body was itching.

Today, as her condition worsened, the doctors at the Srinagar Central Jail asked the jail authorities to take her to a tertiary care hospital for treatment. Doctors at Soura hospital conducted a necessary medical check-up and she was discharged and taken back to the Central Jail.

Aasiya Andrabi is an asthma patient and is also suffering from orthopedic problems. She is under illegal detention from April. She was earlier lodged in Amphalla jail in Jammu. However, a local court quashed the draconian PSA order against her on August 31. On October 5, she along with her associate, Fehmeeda Sofi, was shifted to Srinagar Central Jail in a false case registered against them.
