Srinagar, October 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat has expressed grave concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained party Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, and the lack of medical facilities to treat her ailments in jail.

The DeM General Secretary, Nahida Nasreen in a statement in Srinagar said that Aasiya Andrabi was taken to hospital for a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and bone density scan. “As Aasiya Andrabi is an asthma patient she wasn’t able to go through the closed MRI procedure and felt suffocated inside the facility and had to be taken out immediately,” she added.

Nahida Nasreen added that considering Aasiya Andrabi’s condition, the doctors advised her to go for an open MRI. “Ironically, the open MRI facility isn’t available at any hospital in Kashmir,” she said and added that the puppet regime’s irresponsible attitude towards the party Chairperson had only exposed the plot being hatched to kill her in custody.

“These facilities are available only in private hospitals and as she is in prolonged illegal custody, it is, therefore, obligatory on the puppet regime to make available the necessary treatment and diagnosis to Andrabi,” she demanded.

The DeM General Secretary said that few days back she was diagnosed with angioedema and it also needs further investigations to be properly treated. “If this disease is also ignored, it will prove dangerous to her health,” Nahida Nasreen added.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat leader and the Patron of People’s Political Front, Fazal Haq Qurashi while reacting to the appointment of interlocutor by India in a statement in Srinagar called for inclusion of all stakeholders including Pakistan to make the dialogue process result-oriented. “To seek the permanent resolution of the Kashmir dispute, Pakistan can never be sidelined,” he added.
