Srinagar, November 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned the atrocities committed by Indian forces’ personnel on civilian population during cordon and search operations in different areas of Srinagar and Shopian districts.

An APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian troops and police personnel during search operation in the areas of Rawalalpora, Shivpora and Sonawar in Srinagar, and Nazneen Pora and Poshpora in Shopian barged into the residential houses, vandalised properties and harassed the inmates. He denounced the puppet authorities for their vengeful attitude towards the innocent civilians.

The spokesman said, through these repressive measures, the youth are pushed to wall, thus evolving more horrendous and dangerous situation in the territory.

People while pursuing the right to self-determination, he added, are committed to the cherished mission and no power on earth can break their resolve nor can anything deter them from pursuing the freedom mission.

The spokesman appealed to the international human rights organizations to take notice of the deteriorating conditions of fundamental human rights in occupied Kashmir and fulfill their responsibilities by coming to the rescue of the oppressed people of the territory.

Meanwhile, the spokesman denounced the continued illegal detention of Hurriyat activist, Sajjad Ahmad Butt, saying that for the last three months he had been kept in Nagam police station.
