The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, Hurriyat leaders, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Muhammad Yasin Malik and noted scholar Altaf Jameel Nadvi in their speeches threw light on the poetry, life and teachings of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and his contribution to the Pakistan Movement. »

Islamabad, November 09 (KMS): A meeting was held between a delegation of media groups from Indonesia and a team of Kashmiri representatives in Islamabad.

The Kashmiri representatives including Shaikh Tajammul-ul-Islam, Shaikh Abdul Mateen and Pervez Ahmad Advocate apprised the Indonesian media delegation about the prevailing situation of occupied Kashmir. They were told that hundreds of thousands of Indian army and paramilitary personnel were perpetrating the worst kind of state terrorism against the Kashmiri people. The Indonesian delegation was informed about the use of pellet guns by the Indian forces’ personnel on peaceful protesters in the occupied territory. »

Grand Mufti-led meeting rejects talks offer

Srinagar, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian army, police and Central Reserve Police Force have launched massive cordon and search operations in Shopian and Bandipora districts, causing huge inconvenience to the people.

The troops cordoned off dozens of villages by sealing all entry and exit points and conducting searches in the two districts. This is for the fourth time in the past five months when the troops launched such a massive operation in Shopian district. A Special Police Officer of Indian police was injured in firing in Islamabad district. The injured SPO was posted outside the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Islamabad town. »

Srinagar, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) has said that the authorities are using all machinery to prolong the illegal detention of party Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi.

The DeM General Secretary, Nahida Nasreen in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Aasiya Andrabi and her associate, Fehmeeda Sofi, had been lodged in Amphala Jail in Jammu for last several months. On October 4 this year, they, on the recommendation of Human Rights Commission of the territory, were shifted to Srinagar Central Jail. »

Srinagar, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have launched a massive cordon and search operation in over a dozen villages of Shopian district, causing huge inconvenience to the people.

The troops cordoned off Kadgam, Barbugh, Chiterwich, Imamsahib, Hillow, Manihal, Amurbugh, Badimarg, Yamrach, Munad Gofan, Woyen, DK Pora and villages early this morning. The troops have sealed all entry and exit points and conducting searches in a very vast area, locals told media.

This is for the fourth time in last five months when the troops launched such a massive search operation in Shopian district. »

Srinagar, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and other pro-freedom leaders and organizations have paid rich tributes to martyr Waseem Ahmad and others youth who have laid down their lives for the Kashmir cause.

The JKLF in a statement issued in Srinagar said that a party delegation comprising Javed Ahmad Butt, Tariq Ahmad and others visited Pulwama and expressed solidarity with his bereaved family of Waseem Ahmad and other martyrs. »

Khan Sopori accused of delivering speech when he was under detention

Srinagar, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, in a telling example of how the “lawless law” Public Safety Act (PSA) is slapped on pro-freedom people in the territory, the puppet administration in a fresh dossier has accused senior APHC leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, of giving a speech when he was in jail.

The puppet authorities have said in the dossier that Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori gave a provocative speech at the funeral of Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Qayoom Najar, on September 26 – a date on which he was in detention at Sopore police station. The 70-year-old leader is under illegal detention since February this year. »
