Srinagar, November 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has condemned the fresh arrest spree unleashed by Indian troops and police across the territory.

An APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the forces had created havoc in every nook and corner of the territory and a sense of insecurity among the people.

Denouncing night raids, he said that during raids dozens of innocent youth were arrested from Dangerpora area of Pulwama. »

Srinagar, November 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), expressing concern over the plight of its illegally detained Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, and other Kashmiri political prisoners has urged the world to raise voice in favour of Kashmir and Kashmiris.

The DFP in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Shabbir Ahmed Shah was arrested from Srinagar on July 25 under false cases and since then he had been facing very tough situation in New Delhi’s Tihar jail. It said that the way Shabbir Shah and other political prisoners were being treated in different jails was nothing but political vengeance. »

Troops launch massive operations in Pulwama, Shopian

Srinagar, November 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police re-arrested senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Masarrat Aalam Butt, immediately after his release from Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.

The JKML in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the family members of Masarrat Aalam Butt submitted the court’s order quashing his detention to the jail authorities and he was released from the jail. However, the statement said that a posse of Indian police arrived and whisked the APHC leader away to an unknown place.

The High Court of the occupied territory had on 26th October, 2017 quashed the 35th detention order of Masarrat Aalam under draconian law, Public Safety Act. The APHC leader was first arrested in June 1990 and since then he has been booked under the PSA for 35 times. »

Srinagar, November 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have launched massive cordon and search operations in Pulwama and Shopian districts of South Kashmir, causing immense inconvenience to the people.

The troops have cordoned off over a dozen villages of the districts including Keller, Qasbayar, Batpora, Gulabteng, Maspora, Bamnoo, Mirpora, Kellar, Check, Nadepora. The troops have sealed all entry and exit points of these areas and are conducting house-to-house searches. »

Srinagar, November 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court has quashed 28 detention orders under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), in the last few months but still many of them continue to remain behind the bars.

In most of the cases, orders were quashed based on the ground that the detaining authorities didn’t allow detainee to make a representation against the detention order. »

Srinagar, November 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has expressed concern over the plight of Kashmiri political detainees languishing in different jails of India and the territory.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a gathering in Srinagar said, the Kashmiri detainees are tortured in jails to break their resolve and determination and disturb them psychologically. He said these prisoners are not criminals but political detainees and dealing with them inhumanly is a violation of the Geneva Conventions of rights and dignity of prisoners and even against basic human practices and ethics. »
