DFP rules out peace without settlement of Kashmir dispute

Srinagar, November 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has reiterated that peace and stability in South Asia will remain a distant dream unless the Kashmir dispute is resolved in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

A DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said aggression and repression can never resolve issues but only aggravate them. The statement maintained that killing was no solution as was evident from huge participation of people in martyrs’ funerals.

Paying tributes to the youth martyred in Handwara, Kulgam and other areas of Kashmir, the statement said, “Our brave hearts are scripting a tremendous chapter of our resistance movement through their blood.”

The statement said the people of Jammu and Kashmir are waiting for a final resolution of the Kashmir dispute which alone will end their suffering.

The party expressed deep sorrow over the sad demise of Haji Ali Mohammad Basu, Islamabad town. Deceased was a close relative of DFP Chief, Shabbir Ahmad Shah. A delegation led by Abdullah Tari visited Islamabad to condole with the family.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza in a condolence meeting at Dooru Shahabad in Islamabad said that Hurriyet camp always advocate peaceful and meaningful dialogue between Pakistan, India and real Kashmiri leadership for lasting solution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir which will bring peace and political stability in South Asia. He said the people of Jammu and Kashmir have rendered unprecedented sacrifices, and our three generations have been the worst sufferers because of Indian occupation.
