Srinagar, November 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, took a jibe at the puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, over her remarks against the Kashmiri people.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Kashmiri people were not beggars and that they didn’t need doles from the Government of India.

“Do not need the largesse or dole of Government of India to survive as Mehbooba Mufti suggests and are no beggars,” he said. He maintained that the people of Kashmir had enough resources to prosper. “Once we are our own masters our resources both human and natural are enough to make us prosper,” he added.

On Sunday, Mehbooba Mufti had stated that Kashmiri people beat their chests for months and then settle down again demanding waivers and incentives for the losses. “We as a people have to ponder what we are doing. First, we protest then we come with a bowl asking for money,” she said.
