Indian troops martyr a B.Tech student

Srinagar, November 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funerals of two martyred youth, Ashiq Ahmed Butt and Tayyeb Majeed Mir in their hometowns of Pattan and Brath Kalan Baramulla district, today.

The youth were killed by Indian troops during a fake encounter, last evening. They were laid to rest amid anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. Complete shutdown was observed in many areas of the district to mourn the killing of the youth.

The troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred a B.Tech student Muzamil Ahmed during a cordon and search operation in Qazigund area of Kulgam district, today. People took to the streets in the area and staged forceful demonstrations against the killings. An Indian soldier was also killed in an attack in the same area. The troops have also launched a cordon and search operation in Tral area of Pulwama district. The puppet authorities suspended mobile and internet services in Islamabad, Kulgam and Pulwama districts to prevent anti-India protests.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, while addressing people at the shrine of Makhdoom Sahib in Srinagar said that the killings, crackdowns, arrests, vandalising of properties and beating and torturing of common people had become order of the day, especially in South and North Kashmir. He said that pro-India politicians and their parties were being used for politics of deception by their masters in New Delhi.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India with the help of its local collaborators was responsible for killings in occupied Kashmir. It maintained that all pro-India local politicians were opportunists and were hand in glove with killers.

On the other hand, a three-member team of Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International led by its Chairman, Raja Najabat Hussain, visited Brussels and met many members of European Parliament. The team briefed the MEPs about the prevailing grim human rights situation in occupied Kashmir.
