Mehbooba ‘greeted’ with pro-freedom slogans
Srinagar, November 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, fire broke out in the shrine of Hazrat Syed Ali Hamdani (RA) in Srinagar, today.

Fire was noticed in the upper storey of the wooden made shrine. However, fire tenders were rushed from different parts of the city.

Locals also joined the efforts to control the flames. Official said that the exact damage to the shrine was being ascertained.

Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmed Mir, visited the shrine of Hazrat Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA) popularly known as Khanqah-e-Muala and took stock of the situation arised after the fire incident.

Meanwhile, people raised high-pitched pro-freedom and anti-India slogans during puppet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s visit to the shrine.

An eyewitness said that men and women who had assembled inside the shrine raised the pro-freedom and pro-Islam slogans as Mehbooba reached the shrine.
