Srinagar, November 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said that the Kashmiris will continue their struggle till they are given their basic right to self-determination.

In his telephonic address ahead of joint resistance leadership protest in Srinagar, today, Syed Ali Gilani said, “Kashmir Valley particularly south Kashmir districts are facing worst onslaught and oppression at the hands of Indian forces.”

The octogenarian leader demanded that “Operation All-Out” by Indian Army should immediately stop and all those Kashmiris who have been arrested should be freed forthwith.

Syed Ali Gilani addressed the gathering inside Jamia Masjid Abi Guzar in Srinagar over phone from his Hyderpora residence. “Till the military occupation of J&K does not end, our fight for basic right shall continue,” he vowed.

Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik, also addressed the gathering.

Yasin Malik in his address said that the resistance leaders were suffering like never before and most of them had been lodged in jails. “We will march from Abi Guzur to Lal Chowk and we will stage sit-on on the road,” he added.

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that if one differs with the brutality of THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State), then this is what one must expect. Kashmir has been brutalised by the Hindu state over the years and we are dismayed how the democracies and Human Rights bodies and the Islamic countries have kept a deep and deadly silence.
Will someone stand up and speak about the Kashmiri peoples plight who live in terror and under the jackboots of the army and Para-military forces who have been given unbridled powers under the dreaded law AFSPA (Armed Forces Special Powers Act) which gives the armed forces to kill, rape, kidnap, torture, maim, abduct and detain with impunity though article 21 of the constitution states that no person will be deprived of his life and liberty without the procedure laid down by law.
Our party seeks the withdrawal of AFSPA and the return to the exercise of civil political power and rule and the restoration of the status that Jammu & Kashmir exercised before 1953.
This resurgence of state terror has specially come about to show the Israeli Premier and his delegation how severely the Hindu state can deal with its minorities.
But our party wishes to inform the Israeli’s that we Sikh’s have not forgotten the brutality and savagery of the Nazi German state that sent 6 million Jews to the concentration camps and that the Hindu leadership of the time Gandhi and Nehru had sent their Congress leader Subash Chander Bose to tie up with Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo of Japan. The Hindu’s were no friends of the Jews in that era.
