Srinagar, November 16 (KMS): Amnesty International has said that the refusal by Indian authorities to pay compensation to a man who was strapped to a jeep and paraded by army personnel is a callous attempt at evading its human rights obligations. Zahoor Wani, Senior Campaigner at Amnesty International India in a statement said that refusing Farooq Dar to pay compensation for torture is a human rights violation.
On 27 October, the Home Department had rejected a recommendation from the territory’s Human Rights Commission to give Farooq Dar Rs 1,000,000 as compensation for humiliation, physical and psychological torture, stress, wrongful restraint and confinement. »

Shah being victimized for his stance on Kashmir dispute

Srinagar, November 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have booked the illegally detained senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Masarrat Aalam Butt, under draconian law, Public Safety Act, for the 36th time.

The High Court of the occupied territory had quashed the 35th PSA detention of Masarrat Aalam on 26th October, 2017 and ordered his release. Indian police had re-arrested him on November 10 from the premises of Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu immediately after his release. The occupation authorities have lodged him again at Kot Bhalwal Jail after invoking fresh PSA against him. A spokesman of Masarrat Aalam’s party in a statement in Srinagar while strongly condemning the slapping of black law one more time on the party Chairman said that the authorities were taking the court orders casually as if the same had no sanctity. »

Islamabad, November 16 (KMS): Foreign Office spokesman, Dr Muhammad Faisal, has strongly condemned the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and called upon the world human rights defenders to stand up for people of the occupied territory.

Dr Muhammad Faisal in his weekly briefing, today, said Indian forces in the past week killed three Kashmiri youth including a B.Tech student, Muzamil Ahmad, Tayyib Majeed Mir and 18-year-old Ashiq Ahmed Butt in Kulgam and Handwara areas during violent, armed and illegal operations and fake encounters. »

Srinagar, November 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) has strongly denounced the illegal detention and slapping of draconian law Public Safety Act (PSA) on its leader, Hilal Ahmad Beig, by the authorities and said that he is being subjected to vengeance to appease RSS cadre in Jammu.
