Shah being victimized for his stance on Kashmir dispute

Srinagar, November 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have booked the illegally detained senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Masarrat Aalam Butt, under draconian law, Public Safety Act, for the 36th time.

The High Court of the occupied territory had quashed the 35th PSA detention of Masarrat Aalam on 26th October, 2017 and ordered his release. Indian police had re-arrested him on November 10 from the premises of Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu immediately after his release. The occupation authorities have lodged him again at Kot Bhalwal Jail after invoking fresh PSA against him. A spokesman of Masarrat Aalam’s party in a statement in Srinagar while strongly condemning the slapping of black law one more time on the party Chairman said that the authorities were taking the court orders casually as if the same had no sanctity. Masarrat Aalam Butt was arrested in October 2010 for spearheading mass uprising that year and since then, barring a few weeks, he has been kept under illegal detention.

On the other hand, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party in a statement in Srinagar rejected the charges framed by a New Delhi court against illegally detained party Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Shah. Patiala House Court in New Delhi, yesterday, framed charges against Shabbir Ahmed Shah in a decade-old false case registered against him. The DFP said, Shabbir Ahmed Shah is being victimized for his just political stance about the Kashmir dispute.

Hurriyat leaders including Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, Musaddiq Aadil, Bashir Ahmed Qureshi, Shah Wali Muhammad and Shabbir Ahmad Dar visited Baramulla and Kulgam areas and paid tributes to the three youth who were recently martyred by the Indian troops. The youth, Tayyib Majeed and Aashiq Hussain were martyred by the troops on Monday and Muzammil Ahmed on Tuesday. Dukhtaran-e-Millat and the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League in their separate statements in Srinagar said that the Kashmiri people would carry forward the mission of their martyrs to its logical conclusion at all costs.

Meanwhile, Indian troops continued a massive military operation in Kund area of Kulgam district on the fourth consecutive day, today. The troops also launched a cordon and search operation in Garoora area of Bandipora district, today, causing huge inconvenience to the local people.
