Police arrest Tari, dozens activists

Srinagar, November 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party held a protest rally in Srinagar, today, against the inhuman treatment meted to the ailing party Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Shah by the Indian authorities at Delhi’s infamous Tihar jail.

The protesters, led by party leader, advocate Fayaz Ahmad Sodagar defying restrictions took out a march from Press Enclave in Srinagar. They were holding banners and placards demanding proper medical treatment to Shabbir Ahmad Shah. They said that the DFP Chairman had been arrested in a twelve-year-old fake case to prevent him from fighting for the noble cause of right to self-determination. Police arrested dozens of DFP activists during the march. Earlier, police raided the party office in Srinagar, arrested its Secretary General Mohammad Abdullah Tari and sealed the office. All the detainees were lodged at Kothibagh police station. »

Islamabad, November 23 (KMS): Foreign Office spokesman, Dr Muhammad Faisal, has said that Pakistan will continue to highlight Indian atrocities and human rights violations in occupied Kashmir at the international level.

Muhammad Faisal in his weekly briefing, today, said the Indian Deputy High Commissioner was summoned to the Foreign Office on the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces, resulting in the martyrdom of two civilians and injuries to five others, including 2 women. »

Srinagar, November 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district on Thursday to pay tributes to three local youth, martyred by Indian troops on this day in 2015.

All shops and other business establishments were closed in the town and adjoining areas while movement of traffic was also affected due to the spontaneous shutdown. »

Srinagar, November 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has castigated police for creating chaos in the territory saying police are humiliating and arresting Hurriyat leaders on one or the other pretext and this lawlessness is being carried out under the garb of preventive custody.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Jammu and Kashmir has been turned into a police state and detention period of those arrested is prolonged on flimsy grounds, for this lawlessness police authorities don’t follow any judicial procedure or standard norms.” »

Srinagar, November 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and President of Anjuman Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of senior resistance leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and other Hurriyat leaders languishing in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail.

Srinagar, November 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, illegally detained President of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Deeni Mahaz (MDM), Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo has said the ever-increasing interest and influence of Israel in Kashmir is alarming and matter of serious concern.

Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo in a statement issued in Srinagar said both Indian and Israeli governments want to give social cover to the activities through education, culture and trade.
