JKLF holds solidarity march in Srinagar

Srinagar, November 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed on Monday to protest against the ill-treatment meted out to the illegally detained Kashmiris languishing in different jails of the territory and India.

Call for the shutdown has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik and is also aimed at registering protest against the brutalities of Indian forces in the territory particularly in South Kashmir. The resistance leaders in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Indian leadership should realize the fact that it would never succeed in subduing the Kashmiris’ freedom sentiment through military might. They also announced that the JRL would hold a public programme at Lal Chowk in Islamabad on 15th December 2017 to give a befitting reply to the claims of India’s leadership that the Indian forces had succeeded in suppressing the Kashmiris’ freedom movement. »

Srinagar, November 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has demanded of the puppet authorities to release all political prisoners languishing in different jails.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a public gathering at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, today, termed the puppet administration’s announcement regarding withdrawal of cases against the youth arrested on the charges of stone-pelting as a cosmetic step. »

Srinagar, November 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Pulwama district, causing immense inconvenience to the local people.

The troops cordoned off Bellow and its adjoining areas in district and started house-to-house searches. People took to the streets and staged forceful demonstrations against the operation. »

Srinagar, November 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have booked a youth from Islamabad town, Umar Yousuf, under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA).

Umar Yousuf (21), a rickshaw driver by profession, was arrested by the Indian police on Sunday and was shifted to Kathua Jail in Jammu. He was arrested on the charges of participating in anti-India protests during mass uprising, last year. »

Srinagar, November 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front held a march in Srinagar, today, after Friday prayers to express solidarity with the illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in various jails of the territory and India.

Scores of JKLF leaders and activists conducted the march from Maisuma to Lal Chowk in Srinagar. The protesters raised high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. The participants also staged a sit-in protest at Budshah Chowk in Srinagar. »

Srinagar, November 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir has said that the Indian government is crushing the Kashmiris’ peaceful indigenous liberation movement through military might.

Javaid Ahmad Mir addressing a condolence meeting in Srinagar reminded the Indian Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley that the Britain and other international powers had created the Kashmir dispute and the people of Kashmir had been rendering unprecedented sacrifices for securing their right to self-determination. »

Srinagar, November 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) has denounced continued illegal house detention of its Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt.

A JKSM spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the puppet administration had imposed curbs on all religious, social and political activities of Zafar Akbar Butt. He said that the genuine voice of people of Kashmir and leaders could not be suppressed through such cheap tactics. He added that the freedom struggle would be taken to its logical end. »

Srinagar, November 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained ailing Hurriyat leader, Peer Saifullah, in Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail.

An APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said, Peer Saifullah has been suffering from brain tumor diagnosed by doctors in Apollo Hospitals Delhi. He said that although Peer Saifullah was operated but had also been advised for follow up by his doctors. “It was a routine for him to visit hospital for check-ups, however, he was arrested and lodged in Tihar jail,” he added. »

Announces public gathering in Islamabad town on Dec 15

Srinagar, November 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has reiterated its call for complete shutdown on Monday (November 27) against the Indian brutalities in South Kashmir and the ill-treatment meted out to the illegally detained Kashmiris languishing in different jails of the territory and India.

The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said that forcing silence of graveyard by military might and naming it as peace could only be termed as stupidity. “A fascist government in power, inspired by Joseph Goebbels’ malicious propaganda techniques, is trying to paint the brutal pacification of Kashmir as peace and return of normalcy,” it said. »
