11th class student injured in pellet firing by troops

Srinagar, November 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference held a demonstration at Hyderpora in Srinagar against the inhuman treatment being meted out to the Kashmiri political prisoner lodged in various jails of the territory and India.

A large number of Hurriyat leaders and activists including Hakeem Abdul Rasheed, Muhammad Yusuf Naqash, Bilal Siddiqi, Zamruda Habib, Yasmeen Raja, Bashir Ahmed Irfani, Bashir Ahmed Qureshi, Muhammad Yasin Attai, Khawaja Firdous and Syed Imtiyaz Hyder participated in the protest. Addressing on the occasion, the leaders appealed to the world human rightist organizations to take cognizance of the plight of Kashmiri political detainees and use their good offices for their immediate release. They expressed serious concern over the deteriorating heath of Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Peer Saifullah, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Raja Merajuddin Kalwal, Ayaz Akbar, Shahid-ul-Islam, Nayeem Ahmed Khan and Farooq Ahmed Dar in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail. »

Srinagar, November 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have launched massive cordon and search operations in different areas of Kupwara and Pulwama districts.

The troops cordoned off Bawan, Kutlari Mawar, Chandigam and Jagerpora areas of Kupwara district and started searches, causing huge inconvenience to the local people. »

Jammu, November 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) has demanded immediate release of all Kashmiri political prisoners languishing in different jails of the occupied territory and India.

APHC leader and the JKPM Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem, addressing a party meeting in Jammu said, there are reports of ill treatment meted out to the political detainees lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail and other prisons. »

Srinagar, November 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the police have said that despite numerous communications, no Indian army man involved in custodial disappearance of a civilian from Kupwara in August this year has appeared before a Special Investigation Team constituted to probe it.

The police said in a report filed before the High Court of the territory that further investigation was going on and efforts were on to ascertain the whereabouts of Manzoor Ahmad Khan for finalizing the investigation of the case expeditiously. »

The soldier was abducted from Sensen area of Shopian district. His body was recovered from Wothmulla area of the district.

Srinagar, November 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the residents of Pampore town offered funeral prayers in absentia for the youth who were martyred by Indian troops in different areas of the territory during the ongoing month of November.

Scores of people gathered in the lawns of Khankah-e-Muala, Pampore, and offered funeral prayers in absentia for the youth martyred in Bandipora, Kupwara, Kulgam and Pulwama districts during this month. The prayers were led by Maulana Riyaz Hamdani. »

New Delhi, November 25 (KMS): A Delhi-based human rights group, Peoples Union for Democratic Rights (PUDR), has condemned the slapping of draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), 36th time on senior APHC leader, Masarrat Aalam Butt.

The PUDR in a statement in New Delhi said, “The revolving-door-detention, where a person is booked under new detention order illegally irrespective of the earlier order being quashed by the High Court is a feature of Jammu and Kashmir.” It sought immediate quashing of the PSA against Masarrat Aalam Butt and holding Indian police liable for contempt of court. »
