Srinagar, November 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference held a protest at Hyderpora in Srinagar against the inhuman treatment being meted out to the Kashmiri political prisoner lodged in various jails of the territory and India, demanding their immediate release.

A large number of Hurriyat leaders and activists including Hakeem Abdul Rasheed, Muhammad Yusuf Naqash, Bilal Siddiqi, Zamruda Habib, Yasmeen Raja, Imtiyaz Ahmed Shah, Syed Muhammad Shafi, Bashir Ahmed Irfani, Bashir Ahmed Qureshi, Muhammad Shafi Lone, Muhammad Yasin Attai, Khawaja Firdous, Mudasir Nadvi and Syed Imtiyaz Hyder participated in the protest.

Speaking on the occasion, the Hurriyat leaders appealed to the world human rightist organizations to take cognizance of the plight of Kashmiri political detainees and use their good offices for their immediate release. They said that the prisoners were facing immense hardships and no proper medical treatment was provided to them.

They expressed serious concern over the deteriorating heath of Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Peer Saifullah, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Raja Merajuddin Kalwal, Ayaz Akbar, Shahid-ul-Islam, Nayeem Ahmed Khan and Farooq Ahmed Dar. They said Peer Saifullah has been diagnosed with brain tumor and his condition is deteriorating with every passing day.
