Srinagar, November 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the residents of Pampore town offered funeral prayers in absentia for the youth who were martyred by Indian troops in different areas of the territory during the ongoing month of November.

Scores of people gathered in the lawns of Khankah-e-Muala, Pampore, and offered funeral prayers in absentia for the youth martyred in Bandipora, Kupwara, Kulgam and Pulwama districts during this month. The prayers were led by Maulana Riyaz Hamdani.

Later, people took out a peaceful protest in the area amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir had appealed to the people of Pampore through posters pasted on the main gate of Ziyarat Shareef, Pampore, to offer funeral prayers for the martyred youth.

On the other hand, Indian troops resorted to brute force and aerial firing to disperse people who were protesting against the removal of banners of a martyred youth, Aadil Ahmed Chopan, a resident of Lurow area of Tral. Aadil was killed by the troops at Seer in Tral on Tuesday. Hundreds of people from different areas of Tral gathered at his residence and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
