Srinagar, November 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Human Rights Commission has asked the Director General of Police to submit report about the killing of 22 civilians in Bandipora in 1991.

In 2013 human rights activist and the Chairman of the International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, had filed a petition with the commission to investigate the killings and compensate their families. »

Srinagar, November 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an 11th class student was critically injured after he was fired upon by Indian troops with pellet gun in Srinagar.

The emergency ward of the SMHS Hospital witnessed chaotic scenes when a 16-year-old boy, Zahid Ahmed, from Zonimar area in Srinagar was brought there with severe pellet injuries in his abdomen. He was operated upon immediately and doctors said that hundreds of pellets had pierced his right abdomen region. »

Srinagar, November 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) has termed the visits by India-appointed interlocutor, Dineshwar Sharma, to the territory as a futile exercise.

The DeM General Secretary, Nahida Nasreen in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The so-called interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma is on a second visit to Kashmir. India must understand that the stand of Kashmiris is very clear about the settlement of the Kashmir dispute. By sending Sharma to Kashmir, India doesn’t want to settle Kashmir but in fact wants to strengthen its illegal occupation over Kashmir.” »

Srinagar, November 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has expressed serious concern over the miserable plight of the Kashmiri detainees languishing in different prisons particularly those lodged in Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail.

A spokesman of HCBA in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the ill-treatment being meted out to the Kashmiri political prisoners in Tihar Jail. »
